Mamdani’s Trump Fight Will Cost NYC — and the Press Is Playing Along

Mamdani loves the spotlight. At a recent press event, he boasted, “My administration will be Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.” Cute — if you’re into political theater. And the media can’t get enough, replaying it nonstop.
Mamdani changes his campaign from Bull Shit socialists’ fake affordability programs like city run grocery stores to anti-Trump, and the press says nothing, they even cover his 5-borough tour against Trump:
Is the press ready to sacrifice billions in affordable housing and federal aid to allow Mamdani to score cheap political points?
Look at NYC’s Real History
Back in the day, Democrat FDR and Republican Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia put politics aside and built the city we know today. They launched public housing that still houses nearly a million New Yorkers. They built bridges, tunnels, airports, subways, and entire neighborhoods. These weren’t vanity projects — they were lifelines jobs, during the Great Depression, and they still serve millions.

From Jackson to Bush — Presidents Have Bankrolled NYC
Andrew Jackson vetoed legislation that caused Wall Street to located in NYC
Harry Truman: Idlewild Airport (now JFK)
Dwight Eisenhower: Bridges, tunnels, subways through the Federal-Aid Highway Act
John F. Kennedy: Schools and public buildings
Lyndon B. Johnson: Subway and bus expansions
Bill Clinton: Times Square revitalization
George W. Bush: Rebuilding Ground Zero
The Wall Street Warning
When President Andrew Jackson rewarded Tammany Hall in 1828, he set the stage for Wall Street’s ascent. For much of New York’s history, finance giants have paid roughly 20% of the city’s bills. Today, that share is just 16% — and shrinking. Mamdani’s scheme to jack up taxes on the wealthy could finish the job, sending what’s left of Wall Street packing. That means goodbye tax base — and hello, municipal bankruptcy.
Federal Dollars Keeps NYC Going and Growing
Federal dollars also prop up housing, transit, education, and public safety. Pick a fight with the president, and you risk triggering audits, subpoenas, and budget cuts — the very things that would destroy the quality of life for the poor Mamdani claims to champion.
Mamdani to NYC: Drop Dead
Mamdani isn’t running against Trump — he’s gambling with New York City’s future. The press should stop cheering his political theater and start telling voters the truth: No mayor can win a fight with Washington, but New Yorkers can lose — big. Trump, like FDR a New Yorkers already signaled interest in rebuilding Penn Station and fixing up the neighborhood.
